We began on a boat in 1952, as Richard and Pearl Denham pioneered churches along the banks and tributaries of the Amazon river. Their work soon grew into a small bookstore, then a publishing house as the couple saw the acute need for theological materials which would enable people to hear the gospel, to mature in faith, and to train others. Editora Fiel was the vision to equip Brazilians and the entire Portuguese-speaking world has only grown since then.
Editora Fiel (Faithful Publishing House) now forms a branch of Ministério Fiel (Fiel Ministries), which also includes the Adopt a Pastor ministry, the Fiel Leadership Course, annual conferences for pastors, women, and youth, and a thriving social media presence. In each of these distinct areas, the goal of Fiel Ministries remains the same: to edify and encourage the church in this land and around the world by providing resources that grow the church and prepare leaders by grounding them in biblical truth.
Through all this we strive, that the knowledge of God might spread and His glory be reflected to the nations “. . . until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ…” (Ephesians 4:13 ESV). We continually pray for God’s strength in every work He allows us to perform.
This is an exciting time for the church in Brazil. After years of missionary investment, we now reap the seeds sown by those who left all to fulfill the Great Commission. The Word comes with power, and we stand in a time of reformation when the doctrines of grace are spreading as never before.
Would you pray about how you might be an encouragement to this growing church and partner with us in this awesome task?
